"I always wondered why somebody doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody."

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face."

Valentines day.. Bert and Squirt were the last gift I received, they still sit in a special spot a reminder of something so pure and true, something that I don't believe anyone else could ever have, although they must, a reminder of happy days, smiles and love. I try to think back without a tear in my eye of what I held in my hand and in my heart, and I try not to long for those days again, and I try to say it is for the best but yet it was so good for me, so wonderful and un expected, someday maybe that will come my way again but I certainly doubt it for I believe that love as ours was is as unique and only meant to be felt once in a lifetime.

Valentines day, a day for love, a day to let those who are important know that they are, but what happens when there is no one in your life to share the day with, what does the day then represent? Knowing that everyone seems to have someone but you, or anyhow that is how it feels.

Where does one go to celebrate the day, to a movie alone? To dinner alone? Does one buy oneself flowers to feel loved even if it is only by oneself? Does one hide inside and try to forget what is missing in your life? How does one deal with knowing there is no one, no where?

the path I'm walking is one of me, for there is no hand to hold as I go through my journey of life. I reach outward offering it, but there is no one to take a hold of it and warm my cold and empty heart.

Bert and Squirt surprised me as I opened the door today. Such an adorable gift from someone so dear to me. New companions in my living room, and delicious Chocolate to share it with.

He took the gift I gave to celebrate valentines day and spent it with her.

The day of Love? or a commercial plot to retrieve our money and circulate it again among the masses? Roses, Red or dieing? Chocolates to feed our fat? Stuffed animals to haggle and cuddle then discarded. Red paper and lace why all the waste? Because of all there is Love is the only thing that can be given by everyone of us.

Valentines Day

Cupid came by to visit this day
he didn't look like the little cherub
No he was dressed in black
and was round on both ends, with a string attached.
His voice so sweet, music to my ears
He pierced my heart and took it with him
and the pleasure was mine
The tears I cried were of happiness not pain

Cupid visited today,
in the most unexpected way
He gave me a gift money could not buy
A gift that could not be stolen
For today cupid gave his Love
