Walk the path that is best for you, for you will be the only walking it your entire life. You may have those that will carry you part of the way, others who will hold your hand and walk with you, and yet others who may try to push or pull you from it, but in the end you are the only one who completes the entire journey.

"Being forced to work, and forced to do your best, will breed in you temperance and self-control, diligence and strength of will, cheerfulness and content, and a hundred virtues which the idle never know."

I am so sick of the spam I get in my inbox
I wished I could find a way to find each person who sends it
I wished these sick individuals looking to make a buck
would leave me alone and stop pressing their luck

Thoughts lost

2001

I feel the darkness closing in on me again. I seem so helpless to stop it. I wonder if it will destroy me this time or if I will be able to emerge into the light 0nce again.

take a moment to look at the smallest creatures
the birds, their legs so fragile
the butter fly, it's wings transparent
the frog on a summer night, singing to it's mate
the geese and their families, forever
take the time to see, and to reflect.

Something is wrong inside of me, no emotion, hollow, empty that is the feeling, numb to everything, just going through the motions. How long can one live in such a void, what will the feelings be when they resurface, will it be a searing pain of bitter aloneness, will regrets always haunt, when or where will the happiness come from that I seek with all my being? Living with the choices chosen, am I right or wrong?

Through a strangers eyes
the world around me looks perfect
sugar coated and without imperfection
Always a smile and never the tears
Through a strangers eyes
I'm just one among numbers
an unknown traveler
with no sorrow or fears
Through a strangers eyes
tested and proven as loyal as can be
the strength and the courage
which has carried me throughout the years
Through a strangers eyes
the shadows remain a mystery
the dark unsorted
only seeing as does the mirrors
