How can a society that exists on instant mashed potatoes, packaged cake mixes, frozen dinners, and instant cameras teach patience to its young?

I feel the darkness closing in on me, there are no words to explain this feeling, a feeling of being totally alone and isolated from the rest of everything. A deep soul searing pain, of sadness and emptiness. Where there is no spirit, only tears, I try to stave off the feelings but I can't. I look for the reason or the cause there is none. I don't want to feel this, I don't want to be numb. I want to feel as others feel, Love as others love. I want to see the beauty in the sunrise and the sunset. But yet the darkness still comes, making it impossible to be. Suffocating, strangling all that is within.

I noticed what I've neglected for so long
how I failed to see I do not know
I hope I can repair the damage I've done
and make tomorrow a better day
