"Man has no nobler function than to defend the truth."
- Ruth McKenney -

"Since no one is perfect, it follows that all great deeds have been accomplished out of imperfection. Yet they were accomplished, somehow, all the same."
- Lois McMaster Bujold -

Sometimes dreams can be so elusive, you know that there was something in it that clings to the brain but yet you can't recall what it is, you close your eyes and try to go back to sleep so that you can find it again, but it stays just beyond one's grasp.

"The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them."
- Psalm 145:17 -

I find myself trying to find a theme, a color a look, something to make my house a true home, I have ideas, and thoughts but yet no real color or look in mind, I know I want to strip the woodwork, I want to carpet the one room of my suite, re-wall paper the landing, and add a big area rug to it. I'm finding I like the green room, and thinking it may be hard to go to the blue room once it is completed, with the carpet, wall papering and the woodwork done of course maybe by the time I get that completed I'll have saved enough for some rich looking bedroom suit. For now the green room is very fitting to the style and the age of my current bed and dressers...who know. and of course it really doesn't matter I guess cause I can't imagine anyone ever seeing my suite. anyhow not the person I'd love to share it with.

scrub scrub..rub
sweep, sweep, clean deep
shine, all looks fine

I don't have much in my life, I don't have people to lean on or the ability to do so even if I did, I wished I could learn how to do this, but then again life has taught me that there is no one but oneself that one can depend on, can trust and can believe in. I guess my problem is I still want to believe.

Bad habits are like a comfortable bed, easy to get into, but hard to get out of.

Don't tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.
- George S. Patton -

The pain has returned
when it departs I do not know
but for now I must take it very slow.

Those I love do not know
that the days are numbered
and soon I must go

As it intensifies and it begins to show
the tears come unbidden
like the winter's snow

Looking out the window
Fog hides everything from site
The morning is being born within it's mask
silence prevails

Watching it swirl in the autumn breeze
thinking to when things were green
now all is brown
Soon the white of winter shall come
bringing the new life again.

Isn't funny how we associate things with colors, for me spring is Green, Summer is Yellow, Autumn, brown and the winter is white.

You can fool too many of the people too much of the time.
