"We can do no great things, only small things with great love."
- Mother Teresa -

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

It's past pumpkin time and I find that my thoughts written today are of yesterday, as many things tend to be in my life when I had a life, where I had my place, a time to when I was needed, or at least wanted, now I am none of these things, and I wonder at my purpose here on this earth.

Interesting, I was checking the stats for the Vistas today, and out of 272 visitors it recorded not one bothered to sign my guest book, It would be nice that just one of those people would have, it would have made me feel as though maybe the pages are here for some reason.

exhaustion, fatigue, maybe a good nights sleep

I'm not going to think
thinking hurts
thinking wastes
thinking kills

one can never stop thinking

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
- Albert Schweitzer -

it flew as though it were a bird upon gilded wings
given life after death by a winter kiss
Upon it's descent it flittered and fluttered
then laid silently upon the cold ground.

it hopped and skipped as the tiny bunnies do
moving silently with the aid of winters breath
going here, going there until at last it rested
lodged against it's bearers foundation

it's faded colors gone,
winter stole them in the fall
no more movement
its life gone, until new ones get the call

They stood on foreign shores
they heard the firefight in the distant winds
they bled upon soil away from home
they died for God and country

Young men ready to begin life
lost innocence upon a battle field
families torn and broken
children maimed and scarred

To make this a better place?

The surest way to make a monkey of a man is to quote him.
