VISTAS: An awareness of a range of time, events, or subjects. A broad Mental View.
July 4

"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark."
- Michelangelo Buonarroti -

Well I finally sat me behind down and worked on a new site design for the Vistas, I've got a few of the test pages up here in the Verse area, in others poetry and classic poetry, tell me what you think should I proceed or should I start over again. The Vistas really are getting stale, and I'm trying to really come to a final conclusion on rather I want to keep the site and contribute to it, start a new site, or revamp it. With the 5 sites I have now, it really does have the most content but so many things are outdated and really need to be 100% redone, and the coding in some of the areas is horrid, which I want to get cleaned up and get it back up to standards as it once was.

Well I had to have a big bang for the day. Happy 4th of July.

**Sidenote...the Space Shuttle Discovery Launched today. It was pretty awesome to watch on TV.

"The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps - We must step up the stairs."
- Vance Havner -

"I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul."
- Psalm 31:7 -

I find I cannot sleep excitement, nerves and anticipation of the days events

the trip into Chicago was enlightening, but uneventful. the only scare was when the airline had mistaken our destination for Portland instead of Phoenix. Thankfully we got it straightened out before we got to Denver.

The flight was relaxing and the layover's not to bad. The heat in Phoenix was like oh man why did I come here. 111 degrees and no shade to find.

the fireworks exploded above
colors called laughter and tears
trails of smoke
the night ended with a bang

The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.
- Edward Phelps -

Man is the only animal that can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them.
- Samuel Butler -

A Day of Independence
Fire Works light the sky

Colors burst into the night sky
loud booms and whistles

Today was my day of independence
I severed the ties freed my mind.

What shall the future hold.

You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.
